                                               Marcia Hogan

I am native to Robertson County, and a graduate of Springfield High School. I received my teaching degree from Austin Peay State University. This is my eighth year to serve as the Academic Reading Coach at Cheatham Park Elementary School. Prior to my role as an academic coach, I enjoyed 23 wonderful years in the classroom.
My role is to support the instructional needs of all teachers as they positively impact student learning. My primary focus is to foster quality and engaging literacy instruction, while also supporting good classroom/behavior management practices throughout our building. I provide teacher training and one-on-one coaching; supporting the work by modeling effective instruction and co-teaching. I regularly share current instructional resources and strategies in an effort to help teachers provide the best instruction possible for their students. Through this process, my ultimate goal is to see the students of Cheatham Park Elementary School achieve as learners to become the leaders of tomorrow.
My personal interests include spending time with my wonderful husband and two sons, teaching Sunday School, and taking an active role in the music ministry at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church.
